RecensioAI integrates with Square
RecensioAI integrates with Square. You add one webhook in your Square developer screen for the payment.updated event. Every paying customer whose email or mobile you captured at the till becomes a contact and is then asked for a review.
How RecensioAI connects to Square
Connection type: webhook (copy and paste). You set it up once and it keeps running without you touching it.
What gets automated
- Completed payment becomes a contact
- Review request by email or SMS, at the moment you choose
- Duplicate customers are merged, so nobody is asked twice
- AI drafts the reply to the review in the customer's own language
Setting up Square
These are exactly the steps you see in the app under Settings → Integrations.

Copy the link below.

Go to developer.squareup.com, sign in with your normal Square login, and open Webhooks → Subscriptions → Add subscription.

Paste our link in the URL field and tick the event "payment.updated". Save.

Take one small test payment with your own email as the receipt address, then press Test here.

Questions about the Square integration
- Do I need a Square developer account?
- No — you sign in at developer.squareup.com with your normal Square login. There is nothing to program; you only paste our link into the URL field.
- Does this work with Square Appointments?
- If the appointment is paid for in Square, yes — the payment event is what we receive. Bookings without a payment can be connected through Zapier.
- Is this integration included in my plan?
- Yes. Every integration is included in every plan, from $47 per month. There is no extra charge per integration.
- Where is the customer data stored?
- In the EU. We only receive name, email address and mobile number — enough to send one review request. Customers can opt out in one click.
