    What is Contacts?

Contacts is the central customer list of your account — the source that Requests and Email Marketing both draw from. Every lead coming in through WiFi, One Tap on your Review Link, Google Sheet sync, Zapier or a CSV upload lands here automatically. You work from one list instead of scattered spreadsheets per feature.

    02

    Open the Contacts page

Click Contacts under Growth in the sidebar (`/app/contacts`). You see your full list with name, email, phone, source, labels and reviews per customer. A search bar and a source filter (WiFi, Review requests, One Tap, Zapier, manual, import) sit at the top.

    03

    Add a single contact

Click ImportAdd one contact. Fill in email (required), name, phone and optional labels. Perfect for the customer you just spoke to at the counter — no waiting for a sync.

    04

    Paste a list

Click ImportPaste a list. One contact per line — for example: ``` jane@acme.com John, john@shop.com, +31612345678 ``` We auto-detect columns (name, email, phone) and dedupe. Great for quick lists from a note, a message or an old spreadsheet.

    05

    CSV / Excel upload

Click ImportUpload CSV. Drop an export from your POS, accounting or CRM. We map columns automatically (`first_name`, `email`, `phone`, `tags`), up to 500 rows per upload. Duplicates (by email) are skipped — existing contacts get enriched, never duplicated.

    06

    Google Sheets auto-sync

Click ImportGoogle Sheets. Paste a shared sheet link (`Anyone with the link → Viewer`). Choose Import once or Enable auto-watch — with auto-watch we check every morning at 08:00 UTC and add new rows to Contacts automatically. The same watcher can also drive Review Requests if you connect it there.

    07

    Zapier / webhook sync

Click ImportZapier / Webhook to grab the webhook URL. Connect 6,000+ apps (Stripe, Calendly, Lightspeed, Mews, Typeform…). Every call adds the contact to Contacts with source `zapier` and can trigger a review request. See the Zapier & webhooks article for full setup.

    08

    Search, filter & labels

    - Search — matches on name, email or phone number. - Source filter — show only WiFi, Zapier, One Tap, etc. - Labels — add tags like `vip`, `lunch`, `2024-promo` during import or via edit. Every label becomes a ready-made segment in Email Marketing. - Sort — by name, created date, last review, or last contact.

    09

    Edit or delete

Click the pencil icon to edit name, phone or labels. Select multiple contacts with the checkboxes for bulk actions: add labels, export as CSV, or permanently delete. Deleted contacts are also removed from any running campaign segments.

    10

    Phone numbers & E.164

Every phone number is normalised to E.164 (e.g. `+31612345678`). SMS requests from the Requests page work regardless of how it was entered (`06 12 34 56 78`, `0031612345678`). Invalid numbers show a warning but don't block the import — the contact is saved without a phone.

    11

How Contacts, Requests and Email Marketing work together

Think of it as one list with three ways to act on it:

    1. Contacts (`/app/contacts`) — the source. Manage, filter, label. 2. Requests (`/app/requests`) — 1-to-1 review invitations (email, SMS, QR) to individual or imported contacts. Every send enriches Contacts. 3. Email Marketing (`/app/email-marketing`) — campaigns to segments built inside Contacts (labels, sleepers, reviewers).

Import once — reuse the same list everywhere.

    12

    Privacy, unsubscribes & GDPR

Contacts who unsubscribe via an Email Marketing message are suppressed account-wide — they no longer appear in any campaign or automation. You can also permanently delete a contact manually (trash → confirm). All contact data is stored encrypted and only visible to your team.
